Our Space
Located at the start of the Neponset River, HSI has reinvigorated a once lively and historic paper mill. Founded in 1795, F.W. Bird and Son was a paper mill company based in Needham, MA. After years of business, owner George Bird purchased the Neponset Paper Co. in East Walpole, setting up shop at 153 Washington St. until the company’s closing in 1980. In 2015, Human Systems Integration moved into the space, occupying the 3rd and 4th floor and returning manufacturing and technological development to the town of Walpole and the Greater Boston area.
