One revolutionary modular system powering nearly limitless options

When HSI introduced our TacPAN platform and Wired-Less™ technology, we revolutionized the wearable edge computing and personal area network (PAN) paradigms.

Our TacPAN system delivers independent body-worn and helmet-worn power and data management and edge processing, integrating and managing power and control for helmet and vest electronics. It is a scalable situational awareness (SA) and communications platform that interfaces and integrates with multiple types of SA, communications, and sensing applications.

Modular, rugged, and reconfigurable, TacPAN can take any form necessary to get the job done and seamlessly integrates with both existing processes and peripherals.

Based on our proprietary Wired-Less technology, TacPAN distributes power and data around the body without presenting snag hazards found with traditional cabling. Offering multi-gigabit data transfer speeds, TacPAN has been tested to meet the strictest requirements for military applications. TacPAN’s modular system is peripheral agnostic, wireless-capable, and adaptable to many power sources.

Wearable instrumentation to prepare Warfighters in extreme situations

 

Warfighters are often called upon to operate in extreme cold environments where passive, insulated apparel items have proven too large and bulky and compromise operator comfort, mobility, and dexterity.

HSI responded to this need with our TacHEAT system, a scalable, configurable, modular, multi-apparel solution that distributes up to 100W of heat across the body while minimizing bulk and associated cabling.

Our proprietary, base layer, smart textile technology embeds lightweight heater elements in liner gloves, shirts, long johns, insoles and other apparel items, and uses integrated power networks that bus power from garment to garment without the need for bulky external cables. Users can control all apparel zones with ATAK.

TacHEAT has been fielded with US SOF, Air Force, and Army customers, in applications including Rotary Wing Aviation, Maritime Operations, Military Freefall, and other cold weather operations.

Rugged, comfortable, and reliable physiological monitoring systems (PSMs) that enable military commanders and medical personnel to assess the basic health and readiness are a key capability for the next-generation Warfighter ensemble.

Our TacMON platform resolves the inherent challenges of embedding complex physiological sensors and electronics into garments that are comfortable, ergonomic, and reliable. Our high-strength, high-flex, body-conforming TacMON garments seamlessly integrate on-body sensors and electronics to deliver flexible monitoring functionality.

Leveraging our innovations in apparel-embedded power and data transfer, HSI’s gesture control gloves allow for a precise, programmable, and comprehensive gesture library with several important benefits:

• No bulky cables or housing

TacSIGN gloves allow for a more intuitive human machine interface (HMI), giving Warfighters the ability to interact with UxV platforms, ATAK, and/or peripherals, without having to remain “heads-down” in their EUDs. Instead, wearers can remain “heads-up”, engaged, and situationally aware as they utilize gestures to navigate the battlefield.
